Break Habits to Change for the Better

Break Habits to Change for the Better

Breaking habits is tough. We know this and continually vow to start over and try harder.

Why can’t we just control ourselves and replace a bad habit with a good one? The principle of willpower and self-control has been touted for decades as the way. Sounds reasonable, yet MIT and Yale studies show that the neural pathways associated with self-control are the first to go “offline” when faced with triggers such as stress. Still, we persist. In my work as a certified coach, I began to notice this and wonder why. Some clients could successfully make the desired change, while others simply could not. From that curiosity, the “Change for the Better” workshop was born.

During our time together, we will look at the habit you chose to examine, learn the neuroscience behind it, explore the anatomy of a habit, and build a framework for change. This highly interactive session was designed to stimulate your awareness around three things:

  1. Your present behavior
  2. Your optimal behavior, and
  3. How you can start making the shift.

This “Change for the Better” introductory workshop provides both the principles and tools to offer you a window into creating mindful, lasting behavioral change. This is the key to well-being and life satisfaction.

Who should attend “Change for the Better”?

Got a habit you’d like to change? Perhaps it’s the one that sprang to mind when you read the title of this workshop. Does this sound familiar?  Cutting people off when they’re talking. Resisting delegation. Forgetting to follow through. Volunteering when your plate is full. Over-indulging to feel better. Neglecting self-care. You get the idea. Tired of it? Come to the workshop.

Break Habits for Good

The work that you begin during the workshop will continue long after you have left. We will give you the knowledge, tools, and principles to make a successful change. Mindful behavior change. Additional resources and contact information for added support will also be available.

Join us for the TrainingPros webinar Change for the Better on November 19th, 2020, from 11 am – 12 pm EST. As an ICF certified Leadership coach, I look forward to examining what you want to change and share what you need to get started on this journey.
