Training as a Service

Training as a Service

There are many changes happening in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) space. Companies are investing millions of dollars in implementing ERP systems, but very few resources are provided following the initial phase. Frequently we see that when systems get upgraded, employees are provided only limited training on how to manage the upgrade. This creates a major challenge for companies and can result in lost productivity and return on their investment. Continuous change and frequent software upgrades have become the norm. These changes occur mostly automatically, without warning, and leave companies scrambling to catch up.

So, why is Training as a Service necessary? TrainingPros is offering a service that is unique to the ERP community which we call Training as a Service or TaaS. This initiative was created to address the training gaps in ERP systems, focusing on the four main systems — SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Infor. This service will cover the full spectrum of what an employee’s job entails following a software upgrade. Our goal is to prepare training to be an activity-based training event. We strive to equip employees not only to do their core tasks effectively, but also to help them understand the overall process.

To learn more about our Training as a Service (TaaS), please take a few minutes to listen to my recent interview on Learning Insights radio program. As the Vice President of Enterprise Learning Solutions at TrainingPros, I’m uniquely positioned to describe the needs for Training as a Service.
